Full Terms & Conditions
We ask that you read this carefully before you register and return your form to us :
- A Contract will be made in writing between the student or Representative and TSM Tuition Centre Ltd (TSM).
- An enrolment fee of £25.00 per student is required at the time of booking. This is non-refundable.
- If you cancel a long-term course, 4 weeks notice must be given in writing. If the required notice is not given then TSM will require payment of 4 weeks money (this will be deducted from any refund that may be due).
- Any refund of payments will be given less discounts, special offers, or Representative’s commission that were given at the time of enrolment.
- Should a Student Visa be refused then all monies paid for the course for lessons not yet taken will be refunded in full excluding the enrolment fee. TSM will not refund any fees if a student has broken the Law or the conditions of his/her visa and is required to leave the country as a consequence. Refunds will not be given if a visa is refused as a consequence of not attending the course regularly. All applications for refund of fees must be supported by original documentary evidence. If abroad, a form APP200 is required from the Embassy.
- Deposits are not refunded under any circumstances and TSM will not transfer fees from one student to another.
- TSM must be informed of postponement of a course at least 4 weeks prior to the starting date in order for credits to be transferred to a later course.
- Subject to availability, students may transfer to other courses but must give TSM 4 weeks notice prior to transfer.
- Fees include in-house reports, tests, certificates and school services, except where otherwise indicated. External examination fees and course books are not included in the course fee. Government Tax is not applicable.
- TSM reserves the right to alter its course details without notice at any time.
- To reserve accommodation an arrangement fee of £25.00 is required. This is non-refundable. Accommodation is divided into 2 categories 1) ‘Homestay’ for students under 16 years of age where there will be a maximum of 2 students per room and 4 per household, including any from other student organisations, and 2) ‘Private Home’ for students aged 16 or over—there will be a maximum of 2 students per room and it could have more than 4 students from a combination of organisations per household .
- When accommodation has been reserved you must stay at the address provided by TSM. If you do not you will forfeit the accommodation and course fees. If you cannot take up your accommodation on the agreed date because you are unable to receive a visa straight away, you must contact TSM so that we can advise the landlord/homestay provider. If you do this TSM will postpone your course. You will, however, be charged one week's rent as a cancellation fee. If you re-apply to TSM and want accommodation, you will not need to pay the arrangement fee again.
- Attendance regulations must be strictly adhered to. If on a student visa regulations require that a student attends a minimum of 15 hours per week. Occasional non-attendance for valid reasons such as illness is allowed, However, if a student has more that 10 unauthorised absences per year/course the Border Agency will be notified and their visa will be cancelled. Please note that the Border Agency guidelines may change without prior notice—always refer to their website for updates.
- TSM will be closed on all Public Holidays and for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year. This does not affect courses under 4 weeks duration which are extended to make up for the holiday. On long courses (2 months or more), the allowance is reduced by the length of the holiday.
- TSM reserves the right to terminate any agreement without any refund of monies paid if the behaviour of a student is considered unacceptable.
- Representatives and group leaders should refer to individual terms and arrangements as confirmed with TSM English.
